Winneba: Leaders and elders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been urged to prioritize wisdom, counsel, and inclusion over ego, control, and exclusion, as the tone set now will influence future election cycles and beyond.
According to Ghana News Agency, the call was detailed in a statement from the Religious and Social Department of the Office of the Minority Leader, signed by Ven Fr. Aaron Moses Ato Eduah. The statement emphasized the need for the party to foster intentional visibility and dignity by uniting all factions, replacing whispers with public unity, and confusion with clarity.
The statement reminded members that the party exists not for individuals, but for a collective vision and national responsibility. It urged party members to act as one family that has labored, prayed, hoped, and sacrificed together, emphasizing that elections test more than popularity-they test maturity, discipline, unity, and understanding of purpose.
With the contest over, the statement highlighted the importance of beginning greater work, advocating for gathering, healing, and strengthening the party by bringing all contestants and their followers on board, as elections are won by numbers.
It further explained that the call is not about triumph or defeat but about consolidation, recognizing that each contestant contributes to the party's strength, vision, and grassroots energy. It stressed that every supporter is crucial and should not be considered expendable.
The statement underscored the importance of unity, noting that a divided house cannot stand, while a united house becomes unshakable. It called on contestants to unite as co-laborers, emphasizing that numbers matter for momentum, legitimacy, ground strength, and morale.
