Central tongu: The Central Tongu District will on Thursday, organise a Competitive Common Examination in English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science across the district as part of efforts to enhance academic performance and promote excellence among students.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Dodzi Addison Mornyuie, the District Chief Executive (DCE), said the initiative was aimed at fostering healthy academic competition among schools while recognising outstanding performance in core subject areas. He said the exercise formed part of broader measures to encourage higher standards of learning and support improved educational outcomes across the district.
Mr Mornyuie noted that the examination was being organised in collaboration with Mr Alexander Roosevelt Hottordze, the Member of Parliament of Central Tongu, reflecting their shared commitment to advancing quality education. "The initiative underscores our collective resolve to create opportunities that motivate students to excel academically while strengthening the foundation of teaching and learning in the district," he said.
The DCE expressed confidence that the exercise would contribute to identifying and nurturing academic talent while encouraging students to strive for excellence. Mr Mornyuie called for the continued support and cooperation of stakeholders, including school authorities, teachers, parents, and students, to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination and the achievement of its intended objectives.
He reaffirmed the district's commitment to investing in the development of young people through strategic educational interventions.
