Techiman: Mr. Francis Owusu Antwi, the Bono East Regional Minister, has emphasized the region's commitment to fostering economic growth and aiding the realization of President John Dramani Mahama's vision for prosperity. The minister assured the community of the region's dedication to driving progressive development. According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Antwi highlighted the implementation of practical socio-economic interventions aimed at accelerating economic development in Bono East. He stressed that by prioritizing sectors such as markets, roads, and health, the region could significantly improve the economic status of its people. Additionally, Mr. Antwi addressed concerns regarding the frequent fire outbreaks in the region, which have severely impacted market women by destroying their livelihoods. He mentioned that the Regional Security Council is actively seeking lasting solutions to prevent these recurring incidents. He also urged traders and market women to rewire their shops to eliminate outdated wi ring systems, which have been identified as a contributing factor to the fires.
