Black Stars performance recently has been frustrating – Asamoah Gyan

Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has opined that watching the team play recently is frustrating due to the lack of creating of chances.

Having secured a 3-0 win against Madagascar in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers, the Black Stars have struggled to win games.

In the September international break, Ghana suffered a 3-0 defeat against Brazil before recording a 1-0 win over Nicaragua.

Having watched the games, the 36-year-old Gyan says it’s frustrating to watch the Black Stars.

According to him, the lack of fluidity and lack of chances must be worked on by the technical team.

“In the last six games played, Black Stars have struggled to create any meaningful chances and it is frustrating,” he told Kumasi-based Kessben FM.

“It is better to create chances and fail to convert them but in our case, we are not creating at all.

“The players must be bold and take the risk because this is the World Cup and you must be ready for the risk,” he added.

Ghana will take on Switzerland in their final friendly before flying to Qatar for the Mundial which kick off from November 20 to December 18.
