Doha:Bishop Bonegas, Founder of the Great Fire Pentecostal International Church, has shared insights into the factors he believes may have contributed to the divorce of Bishop Daniel Obinim and his former wife, Florence Nana Akua Sarfowaa. In a conversation with Nana Romeo, Bishop Bonegas indicated that the marital issues faced by Bishop Obinim are not solely due to natural causes.
According to Ghana Web, Bishop Bonegas suggested that a covenant from the great-grandparents of both parties might be influencing their marriage. He emphasized that such spiritual covenants often impact marriages, particularly when the couple has children.
Bishop Bonegas also highlighted a common challenge faced by pastors, noting that their commitment to their congregations can lead to neglect of their own families. This, he believes, can result in marital problems. He recounted his personal experience, stating that despite providing for his ex-wife, his marriage ended when their children were young, which he attributed to a familial covenant.
He further explained that after a spiritual consultation, he was informed that his marital issues were related to a covenant made by his ancestors. Although he has attempted to break this covenant, Bishop Bonegas is yet to remarry to determine the effectiveness of his actions.
