Accra:Ghanaian filmmaker Anita Afonu revealed Barack Obama's positive reaction to the "Eyes of Ghana" documentary, for which he is an executive producer. Obama, the former United States President, watched the film for the first time and expressed his admiration without suggesting any changes.
According to Ghana Web, Afonu noted that Obama did not participate in the editing process of the documentary, leaving the creative decisions to the filmmakers. She emphasized that he thoroughly enjoyed the initial screening and did not request any amendments.
Afonu also mentioned that American streamer IShowSpeed was brought on as an executive producer during his visit to Ghana. The production team believed his large fanbase and connection to the country would benefit the film’s outreach. IShowSpeed, like Obama, was impressed with the documentary upon first viewing.
