Sunyani: Mr Abubakari Yakubu, who is aspiring to be the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications Officer in the Bono Region, has promised to set up a welfare system aimed at addressing the needs of the party's communication teams across the constituencies in the region. Known in the political circle as 'Baba Amando', Mr Yakubu emphasized the importance of establishing a robust welfare system to tackle the persistent challenges faced by party communicators.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Yakubu expressed his commitment to enhancing the welfare of the communicators as a pivotal step towards regaining political power. He highlighted the necessity for the party to invest in the well-being of its communicators to ensure effective promotion of the party's ideologies. In an interview in Sunyani, Mr Yakubu detailed his vision of creating an innovative environment that would make the party's communications more appealing.
Mr Yakubu assured that the proposed welfare system would be implemented within his two-year tenure, should he be elected as the Bono Regional Communications Officer. He stressed the critical role of communicators in marketing the NPP's Election 2028 flagbearer, former Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, both digitally and at the grassroots level.
He urged party delegates to make informed choices by supporting his candidacy, promising to utilize his international connections to improve the party's prospects for the upcoming elections. Mr Yakubu's initiative reflects his dedication to strengthening the party's communication strategies and ensuring the welfare of its communicators.
