Accra: New Patriotic Party (NPP) communicator Awal Mohammed has praised lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata's recent honorific lecture at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), but expressed disappointment over the omission of details regarding Nana Akufo-Addo's role in a significant legal case.
According to Ghana Web, Awal, who is an avid listener of biographies and interviews of successful personalities, shared his views on Tsikata's lecture, which he watched on the GBC Ghana YouTube channel. He found the lecture insightful, particularly in understanding Tsikata's upbringing, education, and relationships with notable figures such as former Chief Justice Justice Apaloo, William Ofori-Atta, Dr Obed Asamoah, and former Attorney General Joe Reindorf.
Awal noted on Facebook that he thoroughly enjoyed the lecture, especially the first 30 minutes, highlighting the connections Tsikata shared with prominent personalities. He was particularly interested in Tsikata's account of the legal battle involving William Ofori-Atta during the Acheampong regime, where Tsikata served as junior counsel to Joe Reindorf.
However, Awal expressed his expectation for Tsikata to delve into more details about the later legal contest in the Amoako Tuffour v. Attorney-General case, a case where Tsikata and Akufo-Addo were on opposing legal teams.
