Bolgatanga: The Holy Ghost Temple Assemblies of God (AG) Ghana has made a significant contribution to education by providing stationeries and an undisclosed sum of money to 54 needy pupils in basic schools across the Bolgatanga Municipality.
According to Ghana News Agency, this initiative is part of the church's ongoing efforts to bolster various sectors of the economy, complementing government initiatives aimed at ensuring quality education. The selected pupils, accompanied by their respective Assembly Members from the 27 electoral areas, received branded exercise books and mathematical sets as part of the church's 15th Anniversary celebrations.
The church leadership also expressed gratitude to their landlords, the Abopam Family, for their continuous support. In a sermon preceding the presentation, Reverend Dominic Ziba, the Head Pastor of the church, emphasized that true worship is centered on service to humanity. He highlighted that worship extends beyond church walls and should reflect God's goodness, mercy, and faithfulness.
Reverend Ziba urged Christians to embody God's attributes in a world filled with challenges. He emphasized the church's commitment to holistic human development, focusing on shaping lives, values, and character. The pastor also addressed the church's determination to enhance living standards, particularly for the youth, who are seen as future leaders.
In addition to spiritual guidance, the church is partnering with the government and stakeholders to educate and uplift the youth, steering them away from drugs and social vices. Reverend Ziba stressed that true worship manifests in the transformation of individuals and communities. He assured that the church would continue collaborating with stakeholders to combat substance abuse, especially tramadol use, urging parents to actively support these efforts.
Mr. Suleman Ayoroko Atogtue, the Assembly Member for the Zaare West Electoral Area, expressed gratitude to Reverend Ziba for his leadership and collaboration with Assembly Members to enhance education and development. He also thanked the church leadership for their support and longstanding positive relationship with the church's landlords.
