Accra: Ghanaian media personality Nana Aba Anamoah has taken a swipe at South African President Cyril Ramaphosa following his recent remarks on the treatment of foreign nationals in South Africa. Recently, Ramaphosa, in a speech that has gone viral on social media, expressed concern over the way some South Africans have treated other African nationals living in the country. The South African president stated that he deeply regrets the treatment meted out to foreign nationals, adding that many South Africans are ashamed of the acts of discrimination, intimidation, and violence directed at fellow Africans.
According to Ghana Web, following the president's remarks, which have been trending on social media in recent days, Nana Aba Anamoah reacted in a post shared on X and sighted on August 16, 2026. The media personality questioned whether those carrying out the xenophobic acts feel the same sense of shame that President Ramaphosa expressed.
Expressing her frustration, Nana Aba Anamoah also took a swipe at some South Africans, describing them as 'uncultured' over their treatment of fellow Africans. 'Do your grossly uncultured people who keep hounding Africans on your streets feel deeply concerned and ashamed too, Cyril Ramaphosa?' she wrote. Her comments sparked widespread discussion and highlighted the ongoing tensions related to xenophobia in South Africa.
