Accra: Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah, has once again taken a swipe at the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), Raymond Archer, following the controversy surrounding his seized yellow Lamborghini Urus.
According to Ghana Web, in an interview on Asempa FM shared on social media, Shatta Wale stated that Raymond Archer and the entire EOCO office should render an unqualified apology for tarnishing his brand. The musician argued that the publications and speculations surrounding the seizure of his Lamborghini not only affected his brand locally but also internationally. He expressed concerns over appearing in court, fearing it could attract public attention and become a larger issue.
Shatta Wale further shared his discomfort with the situation, suggesting that he felt like a target and insisting that EOCO should apologise not just to him personally but to his entire brand. He emphasized the negative impact the incident had on his international image, with people now believing he had purchased a stolen vehicle.
The dancehall artist also conveyed his dissatisfaction with how EOCO handled the situation, stating he would have been willing to cooperate with the investigation quietly to avoid drawing public attention. Shatta Wale described his initial respect for Raymond Archer and expressed regret over the public nature of the incident.
