Antoine Semenyo Reveals Secret Behind New ‘Guitar’ Celebration After Man City Win at Leeds

Leeds: Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has disclosed the reason for his guitar celebration after scoring in Manchester City's victory over Leeds United at Elland Road. The 26-year-old continues to attract attention with his form for the Premier League title-chasers, netting his fourth goal in seven league games to reduce the gap at the top to two.

According to Ghana Web, Semenyo scored at the stroke of halftime from a Rayan Ait-Nouri cross, securing three points for the visitors. During his celebration, Semenyo gestured a guitar-playing performance, which he revealed was suggested by his friends. "A few friends said I should do something funny, so it's the first thing that came up in my head," he said after the game. "Nice guitar, good performance, crowd loved it and that's it."

Manchester City now keeps the pressure on leaders Arsenal, who face Chelsea at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon. "It means everything [to close the gap]. We just want to win all our games on our side and whatever Arsenal do we'll have to wait and see," Semenyo added, explaining the importance of the victory. "We have to control what we can control."
