Antoine Semenyo Expected to Feature Against Liverpool

Liverpool:Manchester Antoine Semenyo, the forward for Manchester City, is reportedly fit and in contention to play against Liverpool when the Premier League leaders return to action at Anfield on Sunday, October 11, 2026.

According to Ghana Web, the Ghana international missed the recent 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches after withdrawing from the national squad due to a swollen leg. Semenyo had been initially called up to Carlos Queiroz's squad for the qualifiers against Côte d'Ivoire and The Gambia but decided to pull out to focus on his recovery.

Reports indicate that Semenyo has discussed his condition with Queiroz, explaining that his leg required treatment. Now, however, it is expected that the 26-year-old will be available for the upcoming match against Liverpool, with his fitness to be assessed by the club.

Semenyo has had a strong start to the season with Manchester City, scoring twice and assisting three times in the first five Premier League games. He was a key player in City's 5-3 victory over Sunderland before the international break, where he scored twice.
