Accra: Popular Ghanaian influencer and content creator Princess Ama Burland has expressed her indifference towards the LGBTQ+ Bill, stating that she does not care whether it is passed or not. Burland, who is known for her candid opinions, shared her thoughts on the subject during an interview on Okay FM.
According to Ghana Web, Burland emphasized that another person's sexuality is unrelated to her own life and that she remains unaffected by it. She mentioned that she has not formed an opinion on the matter because she has never been asked for her perspective on it. "What someone else does is none of my business as long as it doesn't affect me. I have never really thought about my view because nobody has asked my view on straight people; why do I have to have a view on this?" she stated.
Burland continued by questioning the necessity of having a stance on the bill, noting that she does not encounter situations related to it in her day-to-day life. "I don't go out and see people doing it, so why do I have to have a view on it? As long as it doesn't affect me, I don't care if it's passed or not," she argued. Her comments highlight a personal detachment from the ongoing legislative discussions around the LGBTQ+ Bill.
