ALGERIAN PRESIDENT EXTENDS CONDOLENCES OVER DEATH OF KOFI ANNAN

ACCRA– Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdelkader Messahel was in Accra Thursday to represent President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika at the official funeral services or Ghana’s former United Nations Secretar- General Kofi Annan.

Among other dignitaries who attended the funeral service were UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, several African presidents, representatives of Heads of the State and government nother dignitaries.

Messahel, on behalf of President Bouteflika, extended the Algerian leader’s condolences to Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo, Guterres and the late Kofi Annan’s widow and family members.
