Accra: Leader of the Universal Spiritual Outreach, Bishop Kwabena Asiamah, commonly known as Ajagurajah, has declared that all visitors must wash their hands and feet before entering his premises. This practice aligns with his spiritual beliefs and principles.
According to Ghana Web, Ajagurajah explained in an interview on UTV that he adheres to spiritual practices requiring cleanliness, as he is surrounded by angels. He referenced Exodus 30:17 to justify the necessity of washing hands and feet for spiritual purity. A follower read the biblical passage during the interview to highlight its importance.
Ajagurajah equated the practice to Muslim purification rituals performed before prayer, stressing its significance within his spiritual group. He noted that members maintain hygiene before prayer, using kettles to wash after using the restroom and employing prayer mats for prostration. He emphasized that cleanliness in sacred spaces is crucial due to the divine presence he believes inhabits these areas.
