Accra:Africa World Airlines (AWA) has announced a reduction in fares for domestic flights, with prices starting from GHS999 on selected routes. This move comes in response to public demand for more affordable air travel options within Ghana.
According to Ghana Web, AWA's new pricing includes flights from Accra to key cities such as Kumasi, Takoradi, and Tamale. The fare from Accra to Kumasi begins at GHS999, while the Accra-Takoradi route is priced from GHS1,062. Flights from Accra to Tamale start at GHS1,139.
The airline has highlighted that these new fares are available on a limited basis, subject to availability and their booking conditions. AWA made this announcement via a social media post, urging passengers to book early to secure these rates.
This initiative addresses ongoing concerns about the high cost of domestic air travel in Ghana, particularly for journeys between major urban centers.
