Accra: Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, has offered advice to Kofi Owusu Aduonum, the husband of singathon contender Afua Asantewaa. During a discussion on United Showbiz aired on April 11, 2026, A-Plus stated that it was unnecessary for Kofi Aduonum to publicly address his marital issues on national television.
According to Ghana Web, A-Plus advised Kofi Owusu Aduonum to resolve his marital challenges privately rather than seeking public sympathy. A-Plus questioned whether Aduonum was invited by UTV or chose to discuss his personal problems on air. He emphasized that every marriage faces challenges and suggested that Aduonum should manage such matters privately, especially since he claimed to have resolved his differences.
A-Plus further noted that Aduonum's explanation on national television could expose him to public ridicule. He argued that discussing personal issues on television could invite mockery, especially from bloggers who might exploit the situation for profit. A-Plus warned that social media and television audiences might not have Aduonum's best interests at heart.
