Lagos:Nigerian content creator Adebayo Ridwan, known as Bae U Barbie, has successfully invited billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote to feature on his YouTube show, Curiosity Made Me Ask. The invitation occurred during Bae U's visit to the Dangote Refinery in Lagos, where he posed questions about Dangote's media engagements and the importance of reaching younger Nigerians interested in his business ventures.
According to Ghana Web, Bae U highlighted that many of Dangote's interviews have been on platforms that may not attract younger viewers, despite their interest in investing in his company and participating in its future initial public offering. He emphasized the need for Dangote to engage with a youthful audience, noting their enthusiasm for his business endeavors.
Dangote acknowledged the significance of young people, describing them as the future. He emphasized the necessity of sharing experiences between older and younger generations to foster discussions about the country's development. He also noted the limited historical knowledge among young Nigerians, using former President Olusegun Obasanjo as an example due to his return to power.
Bae U, during the exchange, mentioned his own role in providing platforms for such discussions. Dangote agreed that engaging with younger audiences is crucial for someone like him and expressed appreciation for the support and respect he receives from young people, both locally and internationally.
The businessman recounted personal experiences that shaped his openness to public interactions, such as taking photographs with fans. He dismissed any misconceptions about his intentions, saying he was grateful for his blessings rather than seeking more.
Aliko Dangote concluded by accepting Bae U's invitation, expressing his willingness to engage in an informal setting where young people could ask questions about his business journey and achievements.
