Madrid:Former Berekum Chelsea midfielder William Bediako has secured a loan move to Spanish giants Atlético Madrid. The 18-year-old, who previously played for Ghana's U-17 team, made the switch to Spain this summer, initially signing with lower-league side Trival Vald.
According to Ghana Web, Bediako's move includes an option for Atlético Madrid to purchase him permanently. The young defensive midfielder has accumulated 30 league appearances in the Ghana Premier League over two seasons.
Bediako is expected to feature for Atlético Madrid's U19 squad, which will aid in his adaptation to the new club and environment. Berekum Chelsea expressed their excitement over Bediako's move, stating, "We are excited to announce that our attacking midfielder, William Bediako, has signed for Atlético de Madrid.
