Acting Rent Commissioner Launches Public Accountability Series

Accra:The Acting Rent Commissioner, Frederick Opoku, has initiated a Public Accountability Series aimed at enhancing transparency and accountability within the Rent Control Department.

According to Ghana Web, Opoku spoke to Ghanaians about estate ownership and tenancy issues which often lead to disputes nationwide. He emphasized the critical need for public education on property ownership, rental agreements, and the rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants to reduce misunderstandings and encourage peaceful dispute resolutions.

The newly launched Accountability Series is designed to create a platform for the Rent Control Commission to engage with the public, address concerns about tenancy and property ownership, and bolster accountability in managing rental matters across Ghana.
