Accra:World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) legend John Cena has opened up about why he does not have biological children, stating that his sperm has never fertilized an egg. Despite several attempts, Cena has not been able to father a child.
According to Ghana Web, Cena explained during an appearance on the What Now? podcast with host Trevor Noah that his decision to remain child-free was mutual with his wife, Shay Shariatzadeh. Before getting married, the couple agreed not to have children, as Shariatzadeh was focused on acclimating to life in the United States.
Cena expressed that he feels no pressure from societal norms to have children, stating he is content with his life choices. He emphasized that being perceived as potentially good at parenting is not a sufficient reason for him to pursue it. Instead, he values the life he has crafted with his wife, who is described as curious and independent.
Cena acknowledged that his choice sometimes makes him feel different from those who choose to have children. He noted that, while he might be seen as an "oddball" for not aspiring to parenthood like many others, he is comfortable with his unique path.
