Ada:A 15-year-old student of Ada Senior High Technical School named Monde Agyemang has passed away after collapsing during a school sporting event. The incident occurred on Thursday, October 15, 2026, which was also her birthday. The activity was part of the school's Girls' Education Week celebrations.
According to Ghana Web, Monde was immediately taken to the Sege Polyclinic but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The Ada West District Director of Education, Dr. Stephen Arthur, stated that the cause of her death is currently unknown. An autopsy is planned to determine the cause. He also mentioned that Monde had been enrolled in the school for about three weeks and no medical conditions were reported in her admission form.
Her body has been moved to the General Hospital as police continue to investigate the circumstances of her death.
