Accra:Great Ampong has accused some pastors of mistreating their wives, who are female gospel musicians, leading to the breakdown of many marriages.
According to Ghana Web, the gospel musician expressed concern over the high rate of divorces among pastors married to female gospel musicians. He attributed the collapse of these marriages to the poor treatment of the women by their husbands.
Great Ampong was particularly surprised by the reported breakdown of the marriage between gospel musician Florence Obinim and her husband, Bishop Daniel Obinim. He noted that he did not expect their marriage to reach such a point, given Florence Obinim's quiet nature and her tendency to keep her private life away from public scrutiny.
He criticized Bishop Obinim for allegedly insulting his wife and publicly sharing details of her divorce demands with their congregation. Great Ampong also expressed broader concerns about the behavior of Ghanaian pastors, claiming that many have disappointed God through their conduct and lack of care for others.
