Accra:Ghanaian rapper Kwaw Kese has revealed that he turned down a GHS100,000 offer to perform at Shatta Wale's concert, citing the funeral of his mother-in-law as the reason for his decision.
According to Ghana Web, Kwaw Kese shared on social media that he will be in Kumasi over the weekend for the mourning and burial of his mother-in-law, which prevents him from participating in the performance.
The rapper's disclosure has prompted reactions from fans, many of whom have expressed their condolences. ShattaFest, the event he was invited to perform at, is an annual concert organised by dancehall musician Shatta Wale and is regarded as one of the major music events on Ghana's entertainment calendar, featuring performances from numerous top artists.
