Accra:Vote from Abroad is set to host a free event aimed at assisting United States citizens residing in Ghana to participate in the upcoming US midterm elections.
According to Ghana News Agency, the event will take place on Sunday, October 18, at 1400 hours at Theia Coffee House in the Airport Residential Area of Accra. It will offer hands-on assistance to Americans who require help in requesting, receiving, or returning their ballots ahead of the elections.
The initiative is open to all Americans in Ghana, regardless of political affiliation, and aims to assist 50 voters. Participants will receive support in completing the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA), provided the deadline set by their states has not passed.
Those unable to attend in person can join online and access voting assistance via the Vote from Abroad website. Lenny Baer, a volunteer with the team, emphasized that many Americans living overseas do not vote due to feelings of disconnection or doubts about the impact of their votes. However, he stressed that voting from abroad is possible, and the event aims to simplify the process.
Further details about the event, online participation, and registration can be accessed through an RSVP link provided by the organizers https//tinyurl.com/bdefxhxj. The service is facilitated by the Democratic Party Committee Abroad, also known as Democrats Abroad.
