Tribe Culture Fest CEO Denies Allegations in FIFA World Cup Visa Scandal

Siena:The Chief Executive Officer of Tribe Culture Fest, Nana Boateng Gyimah, has dismissed allegations made by the Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, regarding a refusal to refund money allegedly linked to victims of the 2026 FIFA World Cup visa scandal.

According to Ghana Web, the minister accused the Tribe Culture Fest CEO of illegally collecting approximately $611,000 and disseminating various narratives to avoid refunding the money. The individual, identified as SFY in the interview, was said to be releasing information to obscure the circumstances surrounding the funds and evade repayment.

Nana Boateng, in a press release dated October 12, 2026, firmly denied these allegations, asserting that he had not engaged in any illegal collection of funds and had adhered to agreements with state institutions. He clarified that Tribe Culture Fest's agreements were solely with the National Sports Authority and Ghana Tourism Authority, and neither he nor Tribe Culture Fest received the alleged sum from any private individual.

The Tribe Culture Fest CEO challenged the sports minister to present evidence to support his allegations, urging him to either substantiate his claims or retract them to prevent reputational harm.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service is conducting an investigation to ascertain the facts of the matter and ensure accountability for anyone found responsible.
