Lagos: Veteran Nigerian actor and film executive Olu Jacobs has died at the age of 84. His son, Olusoji Jacobs, confirmed the death in an Instagram post, describing the late actor as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.

According to Ghana Web, the announcement comes after years in which false reports of the actor's death repeatedly circulated online, only for his family to debunk them. This time, however, the family has confirmed the news, marking a significant loss in the entertainment industry.

In the announcement, Olusoji described his father as "The Lion of Lufodo", expressing gratitude for a life well lived.
