Lagos: Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee has addressed recent allegations made against him in the United Kingdom, maintaining his innocence and stating that his conscience is clear. Poco Lee discussed the matter during a video call with popular social commentator VeryDarkMan, which was shared on social media on Sunday.
According to Ghana Web, Poco Lee expressed that his primary concern during the ordeal was the wellbeing of his associates and the impact on his business interests. He stated, "I was just being myself. God sees my heart. My only worries were about my people: Jago could not do anything business-wise, and I didn't want to stress anyone."
Poco Lee further elaborated on his state of mind, saying, "If I was inside there and I did what I was accused of, I would have felt I was paying for my sins, but since I knew I didn't do what I was accused of, my mind is pure." He acknowledged the unwavering support he received from his friends, notably mentioning Burna Boy and Rahman Jago.
VeryDarkMan, who shared the video call, questioned the reports surrounding Poco Lee's situation and commended Burna Boy and Rahman Jago for their support. In a caption accompanying the video, VeryDarkMan expressed skepticism about the allegations and urged caution, stating, "BE CAREFUL THE WORLD IS EVVVL..big up @burnaboygram AGAIN AND AGAIN and big up @rahman_jago_."
In August, reports had surfaced claiming that Poco Lee was on remand in a UK prison with a plea hearing scheduled for September, following allegations of sexual offences against him.
