According to ghana web:ccording to Ghana Web, the Asogli State Council, under the leadership of Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of Asogli, has announced the rituals to address and clarify various messages circulating on social media. The Council's statement emphasized that the purpose of the rituals is to seek spiritual protection, peace, and the continued wellbeing of Ho's residents.
The statement from the Asogli State Council further clarified that the rituals are a response to the recent unfortunate spate of road accidents in the township. The Council reassured the public that there are no restrictions on travel to or from Ho during the rituals and encouraged respectful conduct from residents and visitors alike.
The Council has also requested that churches and other event organizers conclude their activities by 9:30 p.m. to respect the sanctity of the rituals. Additionally, operators of recreational venues such as pubs and drinking spots are expected to close by 9:30 p.m.
Importantly, the Asogli State Council clarified that these rituals are independent of the ongoing annual Asogli Te Za celebration. All events related to the 2026 Asogli Te Za will proceed as originally scheduled.
The traditional cleansing procession will start at Ho-Hliha and follow a route through various parts of Ho, culminating at the Power House. The public is advised to seek accurate information from official Asogli Traditional Council communications and disregard misinformation.
