Paga: Hajia Halima Sadia Mohammad, a philanthropist, has generously donated books to the Paga Youth Movement (PAYOM) to aid in the creation of a community library in Paga, located in the Kassena-Nankana West District. The initiative aims to provide access to educational resources and foster a culture of reading among students, young people, and residents.
According to Ghana News Agency, the books were received on behalf of PAYOM by Mr. Desmond Abire, Public Relations Officer; Ms. Samitu Kumoriwo, Treasurer; and Mr. Killian Bantiu, a member of the Movement. Mr. Suleman Salifu Zebrim, an educationist who facilitated the donation, highlighted that this contribution is significant in promoting quality education in Paga and its district. Zebrim noted his commitment to enhancing educational opportunities in the area, drawing on his experience as a professional teacher and former Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Education Service in Bongo District.
Mr. Zebrim stated that Hajia Mohammad's donation transcends the provision of books, viewing it as an investment in the future of children, literacy, and national development. He expressed confidence that the books would improve children's reading habits, boost academic performance, and inspire both teachers and pupils.
The Paga Youth Movement, through a statement signed by its PRO, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Hajia Mohammad for her contribution and her dedication to Paga's development.
