Accra: Legendary Ghanaian Highlife musician and dancer, Slim Buster, has revealed that rapper Tic Tac was the artiste he enjoyed working with the most during his active career days. Speaking in an interview on Joy Prime on September 9, 2026, Slim Buster disclosed that he particularly enjoyed working with Tic Tac because of his stubborn and determined nature.
According to Ghana Web, Slim Buster recalled working with Tic Tac on the hit song "Masan Aba," revealing that the rapper had to record his rap more than 50 times before he was satisfied with the delivery. Despite the challenges, Slim Buster appreciated Tic Tac's persistence and drive, which eventually led to the successful completion of the track.
Slim Buster explained that although Tic Tac became frustrated during the process, he was only insisting because he knew exactly what he wanted as the producer. "I'm the producer and I know what I'm looking for. Once I get that rap, straight away. I was producing my own songs, writing, composing, and recording," he stated.
He shared that Tic Tac eventually delivered the performance he had been looking for during the final take. "So the very last one he did was top-notch, and I was like, 'This is what I was looking for,'" Slim Buster added.
