Asawase: Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak, the Member of Parliament for Asawase and Minister for the Interior, has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the Asawase constituency receives its fair share of developmental projects. In his capacity as an MP, he emphasized the importance of facilitating tangible improvements that would translate into visible benefits for the local community. According to Ghana News Agency, Alhaji Muntaka made these remarks during the inauguration of two new classroom blocks at Asokore Mampong R/C Primary and one at New Aboabo M/A Primary (Middle B). These projects, financed through the District Assembly Common Fund, include a 6-unit classroom block at Asokore Mampong R/C Primary, a 3-unit block for Asokore-Mampong Kindergarten, and an additional 6-unit block at New Aboabo M/A Primary. These new facilities are expected to significantly reduce overcrowding and create a more conducive learning environment for students. In addition to the infrastructure projects, the MP announced plans t o establish an award scheme that will honor teachers in Asokore Mampong who demonstrate exceptional dedication to their profession and contribute to improved academic outcomes. He also committed to providing teachers with suitable chairs and tables, highlighting the importance of favorable working conditions for educators. Beyond these initiatives, Alhaji Muntaka revealed that funding has been secured for the construction of a new Municipal Education Office. Further enhancing the educational infrastructure, he pledged the establishment of an ultramodern playground for the pupils of Asokore Mampong R/C Primary. Alhaji Muntaka was accompanied by Mr. Ben Abdullah Alhassan, the Municipal Chief Executive, as well as traditional and religious leaders, to officially inaugurate the projects.
