Former Agriculture Minister and MP Ibrahim Adam Passes Away

Accra: Former Minister of Food and Agriculture Ibrahim Adam has reportedly passed away. Ibrahim Adam, who also served as the Member of Parliament for the former Choggu/Tishigu Constituency, died at an undisclosed time.

According to Ghana Web, his death was announced by the Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu, Atta Issah, in a Facebook post on August 30, 2026. In his post, Atta Issah expressed his deep sorrow and extended condolences to Ibrahim Adam's family, the people of the Northern Region, and the entire National Democratic Congress (NDC). He praised Adam's wisdom, dedication, and service, and offered prayers for his soul.

Ibrahim Adam was a well-regarded animal scientist and a veteran politician. He served as Agriculture Secretary and later as Minister for Food and Agriculture under the administration of former President Jerry John Rawlings.
