Geneva: Sierra Leone's Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, has arrived in Geneva to participate in the 31st AFS Youth Assembly from August 12-14, 2026. According to Sierra Leone News Agency, the Assembly is hosted at the World Health Organization Headquarters and brings together young people and leaders from more than 100 countries to discuss youth leadership, civic participation, and global challenges. Minister Bah was received on arrival by Sierra Leone's Deputy Ambassador to Switzerland, Samuel UB Saffa. During the Assembly, Minister Bah will serve as a keynote plenary speaker. He will also be hosted for a special fireside session focused on how civic education can drive youth development and empowerment. His engagements will leverage Sierra Leone's experience in promoting civic participation and creating spaces for young people to engage on issues affecting their communities and the country. Minister Bah also serves on the AFS Youth Assembly Global Leadership Council.
