Kumasi: Former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia received a rousing welcome from mourners and supporters at the funeral of former NEIP CEO Kofi Ofosu Nkansah. Dr Bawumia arrived at the funeral grounds to loud cheers from the large crowd gathered at the ceremony.
According to Ghana Web, a video shared on X and sighted on Saturday, August 15, 2026, captured the moment he arrived at the venue. The crowd could be seen waving their hands and cheering as Dr Bawumia made his way through the gathering. Some attendees also waved NPP flags as they welcomed the former Vice President to the funeral grounds.
Dr Bawumia was accompanied by his security detail and members of his entourage as he moved through the crowd. The funeral brought together mourners, supporters, and political figures to pay their final respects to Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, the former Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP).
