Watch as Muslim Man Slaps Pastor in Handcuffs at Police Headquarters

Accra: A viral video has captured a Muslim man slapping Apostle Daniel Junior Yaw Adjei while he was in handcuffs at the Police headquarters in Accra. The pastor, who was arrested for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Islam, was captured among some Muslims at the Police headquarters. One of them was captured slapping the pastor from behind while cautioning him over his alleged remarks against Islam.

According to Ghana Web, in a subsequent video, the same man was seen interrogating the pastor over his comments. He stressed the need for religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians, while warning against statements that could inflame tensions between the two religious communities. The man emphasized, "We are peacemakers. The man who said we should kill. You see, the Office of the Chief Imam has called for his arrest."

He further questioned the pastor on whether Muslims had similarly disrespected Jesus Christ, underscoring the importance of respecting religious figures and beliefs. "Prophet Muhammad, have you ever seen any Muslim disrespecting your Jesus? Do you know Jesus very well? Do you know much about Jesus?" he asked.

The situation has sparked a call from the Founder of Prophetic Hill Chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, for the Ghana Police Service to arrest the Muslim man captured in the viral video allegedly slapping Apostle Daniel Junior Yaw Adjei. Prophet Gaisie noted that while he does not support violence, it is crucial that no one takes the law into their own hands or abuses others under the guise of religion. In a social media post on August 13, 2026, he urged the Police to arrest the man before Sunday.
