Accra: The Vice President, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has highlighted her strong working relationship with President John Dramani Mahama, citing mutual trust, shared objectives, and a common commitment to Ghana's development as the foundation of their collaboration. She emphasized that there have been no fundamental disagreements between her and the President, as both leaders are dedicated to fulfilling the government's manifesto and addressing the needs of Ghanaians.
According to Ghana Web, during an interview with KSM, Prof Opoku-Agyemang stated that the government's focus is on nation-building rather than generating unnecessary tensions within its leadership. She acknowledged the significant pressures and responsibilities associated with the presidency and emphasized the importance of supporting President Mahama to achieve the administration's goals.
Prof Opoku-Agyemang remarked that early presidential ambitions could be seen as a betrayal of the people's cause, underscoring the necessity of maintaining a unified front in pursuing the nation's development agenda. She expressed her trust in President Mahama, shaped by their mutual understanding and the confidence built through their working relationship.
The Vice President reiterated that the shared trust and understanding between her and President Mahama continue to guide their efforts as they collaborate to implement the government's development plans.
