Accra: Mrs Agnes Amoah, Headmistress of Twifo Hemang Senior High Technical School (SHTS), has appealed to the Government and other stakeholders to provide the school with an administrative vehicle to facilitate its operations.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mrs Amoah highlighted the significant challenges faced by the school due to the absence of an official vehicle. This has compelled the management to incur costs by hiring vehicles to transport examination materials to and from the District Education Directorate. The lack of transportation also hinders the school's participation in official programs and ceremonies, creating logistical difficulties.
Mrs Amoah emphasized that the need for an administrative vehicle is urgent, as any activity requiring transportation places a burden on the school. In addition to transportation issues, she revealed that the school is experiencing shortages of furniture and beds, impacting both academic and residential facilities.
Despite these challenges, Mrs Amoah expressed gratitude to the Government for awarding a contract to construct a boys' dormitory, a move aimed at improving accommodation infrastructure at the school. Twifo Hemang Senior High Technical School, established by the Twifo Hemang Traditional Council on January 11, 2005, began with just eight students and was later absorbed by the Government.
