According to Ghana Web, the award-winning singer also credited his brother-in-law for inspiring the ambitious project. "So shout out to my brother-in-law, Yomi, my sister's husband. He's the one that's actually building everything. He gave me the inspiration," Davido explained when asked.

Davido shared that construction is progressing steadily, with the main structure expected to be completed by December. He expressed optimism that he would be able to move into the mansion around the same period next year.

Additionally, Davido shared insights into how he acquired the land, revealing that he initially purchased a plot in Banana Island for over one billion naira before selling it for two billion naira after learning about the Eko Atlantic development. "I bought land in Banana Island for over 1 billion naira, then I heard that this place (Eko Atlantic) is coming, so I sold that land for two billion naira and bought this one for over 2 billion naira. Now it's worth like seven billion naira, my own land oo," he said.
