Accra: The personal physician to the late Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, Dr. Isaac Ofori Tieku, has confirmed that the Kristo Asafo founder's body was secretly transported from the Transitions Funeral Home in Accra to the Apostle Kwadwo Safo Centre at Gomoa Mpota ahead of his funeral.
According to Ghana Web, Dr. Ofori Tieku, in an interview with Chief Jerry Forson on Accra FM's Ghana Yensom morning show, revealed that the family had intended to bid Apostle Safo farewell in an environment of love and unity, but internal disagreements arose. He noted that while their intention was to honor Apostle Safo with love, some people had different intentions.
Dr. Ofori Tieku explained that a specially prepared Kantanka ambulance was taken to the funeral home, initially meant to publicly convey Apostle Safo's remains. However, this vehicle served as a decoy while another vehicle discreetly transported the body to Gomoa Mpota.
He further mentioned that the opposing faction had become aware of their plans and attempted to obstruct them. However, forewarned by intelligence, they successfully executed their operation. Dr. Ofori Tieku confirmed that Apostle Safo's body reached the Apostle Kwadwo Safo Centre on Thursday, preceding the funeral rites.
Dr. Ofori Tieku attributed the operation's success to divine intervention and the example set by the Apostle himself. Inspired by Apostle Safo's wisdom, they managed to honor him as intended.
