Accra: Telecel Ghana has raised the bar for customer rewards with the launch of its 2026 national consumer campaign, the Telecel M'ahitti Promo, which will see three customers become millionaires over the next four months.
According to Ghana Web, in a departure from its previous consumer promos, which crowned a single grand prize winner, this year's campaign will award GHS1 million to three lucky customers, resulting in a new millionaire for each of the four months. Organised in partnership with digital company Kunim Global, the promotion will reward 12,000 daily draw winners with GHS100 each, up to 48 weekly draw winners with GHS20,000 each, and three grand prize draw winners with GHS1 million each, making it one of the largest consumer reward campaigns in Ghana's telecom sector.
Aneth Muga, the Director of Consumer Business, stated that this year's promo is intended to encourage greater use of its digital ecosystem and ensure broader national participation. She emphasised that the promotion is a way of rewarding customer loyalty in a meaningful way and highlighted the shift towards a more digital campaign. Customers using Telecel Cash and the Telecel Play App for transactions are given added incentives, such as double entries for airtime or bundle purchases and bonus entries for app participation.
The promotion ensures equal opportunity for customers across all sixteen regions, with weekly winners selected nationwide. Every draw will be conducted under the supervision of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) Caritas platform to ensure transparency and compliance. Christiana Antwi, the Marketing and Caritas Officer at the NLA, confirmed the Authority's commitment to maintaining transparency and integrity throughout the promo.
Telecel Ghana has advised customers to remain vigilant against fraud by engaging only through official channels. Ms. Muga stressed that participation in the Telecel M'ahitti Promo is free, and winners will never be asked to make payments, give up their Telecel Cash PIN, or pay processing fees to receive their prizes.
