Accra: TikTok sensation Doctor Drill has defended his wife, internet personality Adwoa Pretty, after a leaked audio recording captured her insulting him during a private conversation, insisting that the remarks were made out of anger and do not reflect how she truly feels about him.
According to Ghana Web, the leaked recording surfaced amid the public fallout between Adwoa Pretty and her former close friend, Abena Payola. The audio captured Adwoa Pretty describing her husband as a "goat" while venting during a phone conversation.
Adwoa Pretty explained that the conversation followed an incident at a funeral after Doctor Drill invited a female TikTok follower to attend. She claimed the woman was unable to explain how she knew her husband, leaving her upset. Abena Payola later informed her that Doctor Drill had defended the woman on TikTok, which made her feel betrayed and furious, leading to the venting conversation. She later alleged that the conversation had been secretly recorded and played on TikTok.
Responding to the leaked audio on The Delay Show, Doctor Drill admitted he was hurt by the remarks but believed there was an agenda to publicly disgrace his wife. He stated that although the comments upset him, they were said in anger and did not truly reflect his wife's feelings.
Doctor Drill also noted that the leaked recording disappointed members of his family but emphasized that the situation has since improved. Despite the controversy, he remains committed to supporting his wife, expressing his intention to protect her when pressure mounts.
