Accra: Founder and leader of Reign House Chapel, Prophet Eric Uche Boahen, has criticised individuals expressing sympathy for alleged fraudsters, using the case of social media personality Abu Trica to caution against cybercrime. Speaking while preaching in his church on July 19, 2026, the preacher questioned why some people choose to engage in fraudulent activities instead of pursuing legitimate sources of income.
According to Ghana Web, the preacher reacted to comments from people sympathising with Abu Trica, urging Ghanaians to remember the victims who allegedly lost their money through fraud. “I heard people saying they’re feeling sorry for Abu Trica. How about those he defrauded?” he asked.
The preacher also condemned reports that some pastors allegedly allow fraudsters to use church accounts to receive illicit funds. “I also heard that some pastors give the church account to the fraud boys to deposit money in it. My church doesn’t even have an account for them to drop the money in. Stop those things and do legal work,” he stated.
Prophet Eric Uche Boahen questioned the integrity of any pastor who would permit church accounts to be used for proceeds from alleged criminal activities. “If you’re a pastor and you give a church account for them to drop stolen money into it, what kind of pastor are you?” he quizzed.
He warned that wrongdoing will eventually be exposed, regardless of how long it remains hidden. “No matter what you do, just know that you’ll be exposed one day. Nothing is a secret anymore,” he added.
