Tanoso: A downpour delayed the commencement of voting in the Tano North Constituency elections of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ahafo Region. Polling, however, started around 0900 hours instead of 0800 hours after the rains receded in the elections being conducted and supervised by the Electoral Commission at Tanoso in the constituency.
According to Ghana News Agency, during a visit, the agency noticed voters sitting patiently as voting progressed at the polling center. A total of 1,107 delegates are expected to cast their ballots to decide on the 28 candidates contesting for the 10 constituency executive positions of the NPP in the area.
The positions up for election include constituency chairman, first vice and second vice chairman, secretary, deputy secretary, youth organizer, women organizer, Nassara coordinator, and the Nassara organizer positions.
