According to Ghana Web, the Christian thanksgiving service took place on July 1, 2026, at the Aiyinasi Methodist Church, drawing a congregation that included the District Chief Executive, Joseph Agyekum, assembly officials, assembly members, heads of departments, traditional authorities, security agencies, clergy, opinion leaders, and local residents. During his address, Joseph Agyekum encouraged citizens to contemplate Ghana's progress and to offer prayers for leaders at all levels. He emphasized the importance of seeking divine intervention for the President, Parliament, the Judiciary, and Security Services, as well as for peace in Ellembelle and across Ghana. Agyekum expressed that with unity and gratitude to God, the nation could achieve desired developments. He also urged Ellembelle residents to actively engage in the observance and to adopt daily prayer as a habit.
The community offered prayers focusing on stability, development, and protection for Ellembelle and the broader nation. The Muslim community also participated by gathering on July 3, 2026, at the Kamgbunli Central Mosque, where Muslim leaders and residents thanked Allah for his mercies and prayed for unity and national progress.
