Accra: Founder and leader of the Universal Spiritual Outreach, Bishop Kwabena Asiamah, known as Ajagurajah, has sparked a debate after his recent advice to women, suggesting they should prioritize cosmetic surgery, specifically a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), over pursuing higher academic qualifications if they aim to increase their chances of living a more comfortable life.
According to Ghana Web, Ajagurajah shared his perspective in a video posted on social media on July 3, 2026. He argued that many women invest significant amounts of money in university and postgraduate education only to face unemployment. Instead, he suggested that these funds could be more effectively used for cosmetic enhancements. Ajagurajah emphasized that many men find women with curvier figures, particularly those with prominent buttocks, more attractive.
Ajagurajah further elaborated on his stance, expressing his willingness to support women who choose to undergo such procedures. He mentioned that he would gladly pray for women who seek his spiritual support before traveling abroad for cosmetic surgery, specifically to places like Turkey.
Addressing critics of cosmetic surgery, Ajagurajah compared the procedure to medical treatment, arguing that correcting physical insecurities should not be viewed negatively. He insisted that there is nothing wrong with seeking to fix such insecurities, likening it to receiving medical care when ill.
Ajagurajah also claimed that some women may possess divine favor but struggle to manifest it due to their physical appearance. He suggested that a lack of physical attributes like prominent buttocks might hinder their opportunities, despite being blessed with grace and favor.
