According to Ghana Web, the woman pointed out that many South Africans have formed families and had children with foreign nationals, making the call for their removal a complex issue. She emphasised the impact such actions could have on affected families, noting that the departure of foreign partners could leave many women raising children alone, thereby adding financial and emotional burdens.
"It's not right, especially. What happened, I don't like it [marches]. We have children with foreigners, and then after that, you say the foreigners must go. Who's going to support the child? I can't support the child alone, so it's better to take the child with the foreigner," the resident said.
