Toronto: The Black Stars of Ghana have arrived in Toronto ahead of Wednesday's opening Group L clash against Panama at BMO Field in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to Ghana News Agency, Ghana's squad touched down on Monday afternoon after completing their pre-tournament preparations in the United States, where they have been camped since their international friendly against Wales in Cardiff earlier this month. Head coach Carlos Queiroz and his technical team utilized the training camp to refine tactics and enhance match fitness, with all 26 players participating fully in sessions.
The team has reported no injury concerns ahead of the opening fixture. The Black Stars are scheduled to hold their official training session at BMO Field on Tuesday evening. Wednesday's encounter will mark Ghana's fifth appearance at the FIFA World Cup and their first-ever senior meeting with Panama.
Ghana aims for a strong start to the tournament before taking on England at Gillette Stadium in Boston on June 23.
