Ishmael Yamson & Associates Launches Foundation at 12th Business Roundtable

Accra: Ishmael Yamson and Associates has launched a Foundation at the 12th edition of its Business Roundtable (BRT) for 2026. The event aimed to target generational strategy, leadership development, and the preparation of young African talent for the rapidly changing global economy.

According to Ghana News Agency, the Foundation's launch was part of a broader theme: 'Unlocking the Next Quarter Century: Harnessing Africa's Digital Infrastructure, Trade and Integration, Energy and Industry, Governance, and Societal Development for Global Relevance.' The BRT 2026 convened over 400 in-person participants, including government officials, captains of industry, policy leaders, financiers, and members of academia. The event was also broadcast to a global television and digital audience.

Mr. Ishmael Yamson Jnr, CEO of Ishmael Yamson and Associates, emphasized that BRT 2026 represents a decisive shift in the platform's purpose and scale. He described the Roundtable as a strategic convening for corporate leaders ready to shape Africa's next quarter-century through execution and continental collaboration.

Mr. Yamson stated that the Foundation is designed to equip young African talents with the skills needed for the future. It sponsored 100 young delegates at BRT 2026, highlighting its commitment to broadening access to leadership platforms and creating pathways for direct engagement with decision-makers.

He further noted the urgent need for private-sector leadership in talent development, urging business leaders to focus on building an ethical and skilled leadership base to manage Africa's future enterprises. African-owned businesses were challenged to finance the continent's future and invest in people and systems that ensure Africa's long-term competitiveness.

Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the Minister for Finance, praised Ishmael Yamson and Associates for their consistent intellectual leadership over twelve years. He highlighted Africa's historical opportunity to convert potential into production and value addition, emphasizing the importance of a continental digital strategy to support regional data centres, broadband expansion, and digital skills for young Africans.
